Gesha Village, Ethiopia

Gesha Village is a coffee estate in Ethiopia’s far southwest (West omo zone) near the Gori Gesha forest - the collection site linked by research to the Panamanian Geisha line, and one of the most celebrated coffee farms in the world. Founded by Rachel Samuel and Adam Overton, the project was built to cultivate source-true Gesha genetics in their native ecology. The farm is divided into traceable sub-blocks and planted with three principal selections: Gesha 1931, Gori Gesha, and Illubabor Forest, paired with carefuL, SLOW AND COLD natural processing that emphasizes clarity and elegance for a true-to-variety coffee experience elevated to the next level.

Poma's Collaboration

We partner with Gesha Village to map each block’s nutritional needs from the ground up. Our program starts with high-resolution soil sampling and leaf-tissue analysis across the sub-blocks. From there we co-design a seasonally staged fertilisation plan to correct imbalances, support root vigor, and stabilize yield without sacrificing cup elegance. Gesha Village has defined excellence through the upbringing of specialty coffee and they keep being one of the stars of the story. A statement farm that showcases how intention and care matters the most.
